Carolyn McDonald is the author of Dolly House with the Devil, a devotional created for Christian women navigating sexual struggles, guilt, secrecy, and the desire for genuine transformation.
As a third-generation Seventh-day Adventist, Carolyn was raised in a home shaped by family worship, church leadership, Pathfinder, music ministry, and biblical teaching. She was baptized at eight years old and understood church culture from an early age.
However, her journey taught her that being surrounded by faith is not the same as developing a personal, surrendered relationship with God.
Behind the familiar image of the committed church girl, Carolyn faced private struggles that eventually brought painful consequences and life-changing lessons. Through faith, honest reflection, professional support, accountability, and courageous decisions, she began rebuilding her life and understanding her identity beyond her past.
